Gerrit Te Grotenhuis of Orange City passed away at the Orange City hospital on Dec. 25. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Dec. 28, at the First Reformed Church with Rev. R. Van Heukelom and Rev. A..J. Eissens officiating. Burial was at West Lawn Cemetery with the Van Etten Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Te Grotenhuis was 79 years old. He was born April 26, 1892, near Orange City. He was married to Rena Bonnema on Feb. 3, 1914 at Sioux Center. They farmed west of Orange City and in 1942 they moved to Orange City. Mrs. Te Grotenhuis died in 1969.

Survivors include four sons, Arthur, Russell, and Eugene all of Orange City and Milo of Sioux Center; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
