Norman Dahl passed away at his home in Rock Valley early Wednesday morning, following a
Lingering illness of tuberculosis. He had been feeling better during the past summer than he had for a long time, which made his death very unexpected.

Mr Dahl was born at Hayfield, Minn June 12, 1903. Some years later his parents moved to Mason City, IA where they resided for about six years, before moving to Rock Valley, where he spent almost all of the time since. He was graduated from the Rock Valley High school in 1922. He was a good student and played football very well.

He is survived by his father and two sisters, Miss Bertha Dahl of Seattle WA and Miss Anna of Rock Valley and three brothers, Henry of Hull and Louis and Selmer of Rock Valley .

Rev Lloyd Hansley had charge of the funeral services which were held for Mr. Dahl in the Methodist church Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Jerry Steck sang a solo and Norbert Franz, Dick Wesselink, Mrs. Jerry Steck and Mrs. Victor Berrier sang a very beautiful quartet. Burial was made in the Valley View Cemetery.
