Funeral services held for Mrs. H. Blankespoor

Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Blankespoor, 73, who died at her home at Rock Valley Thursday after a brief illness were held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Porter Funeral Home and at 1:30 p.m. at the First Reformed Church. The Reverend Henry Poppen officiated and burial was in Valley View Cemetery.

Mrs. Blankespoor was born in The Netherlands March 26, 1891, to Mr. and Mrs. Koop and Neeltje (Ten Napel) Drok, and came to this country as an infant.

She was married to Evert Blankespoor February 22, 1911, in Rock Valley. They farmed near here before moving into Rock Valley in 1942.

Pallbearers were: Jake Terpstra, Kenneth Van Voorst, Jake Middendorp, Charles Dykstra, Gerrit Van Den Brink, and John Vander Sanden.

Survivors include the wodower; two daughters, Mrs. Dick Bakker of Alvord and Mrs Case Van Zanten of Rock Valley; two sons, Henry E. and John E. both of Inwood, a sister, Mrs. John Blankespoor of Doon; 20 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Coba Irene, and an infant grandson.
