From the Rock Valley Bee, March 31, 1944:

Ms. Huizenga of Chicago Passes on

Mrs. Elizabeth Huizenga, widow of Dr. Frank Huizenga, died on March 17, 1944, at her home in Oak Park, Ill., the Bee was informed, but at this writing has received no other particulars. The news was relayed to us by Mrs. Edith H. Huizenga of Inglewood, Calif. "Dr. Frank" was, of course, one of the best known men in Sioux county at the time he lived in Rock Valley. The Huizenga family is closely associated with the early history of the town and county.

From the Sioux Center News, April 6, 1944:

Mrs. Elizabeth Huizenga, widow of Dr. Frank Huizenga, died on March 17 at her home in Oak Park, Ill. Dr. Huizenga was the best known surgeon in Sioux County and always seemed able to work miracles. Mrs. Huizenga was a member of the choir of the Methodist Church and also taught a Sunday School class besides being the head of several well known organizations. They had two sons, Francis and Bernard, the former being a graduate of the high school here and was in military service in World War I.
