Mrs. Pamille A. Bird, age 48, of Granville, died Sunday, December 6, 1992 at the Orange City Municipal Hospital after an illness of almost 10 years.

Pamille Ann was born June 12, 1944 at Marcus, the daughter of William Gregg and Florence (Witte) Snyder. She lived much of her life at Marcus and Alton. For about the last 15 years she has been a resident of Granville.

Before becoming ill, she was the head cook at Hope Haven Residential Training Center at Orange City. She was currently writing a column entitled “Facing Mr. C.” for the Siouxland Press. She founded the Circle of Hope, a cancer support group, at the Orange City Municipal Hospital.

“Pam” was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Granville and the church guild.

Survivors include her four children, Kathy and her husband Jim Rus of Calumet, Henry “Jay” Vrieze of Sioux Center, Kimberly and her husband Phil Scorza of Granville, and Theresa and her husband Rick Gries of Orange City; seven grandchildren, Andrew Beyers, John and Jacob Rus, Kassie and Daimon Scorza, and Beau and Caroline Gries; father, Gregg Snyder and his wife Arlene of Alton; brother, Rodney Snyder and his wife Betty of Granville; sister, Debbie and her husband Wayne Evans of Granville; and nephews Tim Snyder and Dustin Evans.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 9, 1992 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Granville. The Reverend Father Clem Currans, The Reverend Father Robert Gralapp and The Reverend Father Ronald Reicks officiated Interment followed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Casket bearers were Conrad Andersen, David and Ronald Snyder, Kevin Raveling and Kenneth and James Meehan.
