Betsy Vreugdenhil, 82 of Sioux Center died Sunday at the Sioux Center Hospital.
Services were Wed. in Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. Duane Tinklenberg officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery under direction of the Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.
Mrs. Vreugdenhil, the former Betsy Kersbergen, was born May 6, 1905 in Vlaarrdingen, The Netherlands. She lived her youth and attended school in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. She came to the United States March 9, 1921 and married Case Vreugdenhil Dec. 15, 1925 at Lebanon. The couple lived in Sioux Center area. He died Feb. 13, 1976.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Verna) Baker of Nigeria, West Africa; Mrs. Howard (Marie) Kiel of Maurice; Joanne Vreugdenhil of Downey, CA.; and Mrs. Aubrey (Arlene) Altena of Sioux Center,; a son, John of Sioux Center; a sister, Mrs. Ed (Marie) Harskamp of Sioux Center; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
