James Allen, who owned about 2300 acres of land south of Hospers died at his home in Scales Mound Illinois Wednesday of last week and was buried the following Saturday. Mr. Allen was well know in Hospers. He used to make two or more trips a year to Hospers to look after his farms and as a rule would spend several weeks on each trip. ON Sunday George Allen and wife of Chicago and Mrs. James Allen of Scales Mound Illinois came to look after the Allen estate here. They expect to return this Sunday.
