William Beuman, a World War Veteran of Rock Valley September 3rd. Mr. Beumer worked in a restaurant and had worked late the night before.

When he retired he asked his mother to call him about 11 o’clock the following morning. When she failed to receive a response she spent the Brother Bernard who discovered that his brother was dead.

It is thought that he had been dead about three hours as his mother heard him walking about three hours before the discover was made.

William was born in Rock Valley, Iowa in December, 1893. He was the 6th of 8 children born to Ben and Teresa (Escher) Beumer. He was a day laborer.
