Funeral at Granville
Mrs. Mary Colling, 79, passed away Wednesday evening at the home of a daughter In Remsen where she was cared for the past 6 months of a lingering illness. Rev, N. J. Becker officiated at the requiem mass Saturday morning at 10:00 o'clock at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Granville. Burial was in St. Joseph’s cemetery under the direction of Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen.

Mary Marx was born May 31 1885 in Granville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Marx, attended school in Granville. She was married Feb. 26,1908 to Fred Colling at St. Mary’s Church Remsen and resided on a farm near there until 1913 when they moved to a farm north of Granville until retiring and moving to town in 1942. Mr. Colling passed away Oct 7, 1945.

She is survived by six daughters and two sons, John of Howard SD, Norbert of Granville, Catherine Mrs. Henry Haverkamp, Rita Mrs. Isidore Harpenau, both of Remsen, Marian Mrs. Wm. Pottebaum of Marcus, Sister Mary Romona of Larchwood, Agnes Mrs. Richard LaBahn of Merrill IA, Florence Mrs. Bob Smit of Granville, 34 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 sisters and 3 brothers, John Marx of Brandon, S. Dak . , Matt Marx of Granville, Mike Marx of Portland, Ore., Miss Christina Marx of LeMars , Mrs. Josephine Bradley of Shenandoah IA, Mrs. Anna Fred Gaul of Hawarden. Pall bearers were Emil and Edmund Bueltel, Henry J. and Leo Klein, Leo Kraus, and Frank Bernard.
