Rites Today For Laura Cleveringa
Laura Claine Cleveringa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lou Cleveringa residing north of Alton, passed on Sunday evening, Sept. 6th, at the age of twenty years, four mouths and twenty days.

Laura was born on March 16th, 1922, at the farm home north of Alton. At the. age of two and one half years; she was suddenly stricken with diabetes, from which she never recovered, and has been practically a lifelong invalid. Due to the nature of her ailment she could not attend
school or take part in normal activities of other children and young people. However, her home life was made pleasant by every member of the immediate family and in particular by her devoted father and mother.

She accepted her condition with fortitude and courage and her loving presence will be greatly
missed by her family. Her condition did not become alarming until Saturday night, and the
following, evening she passed from this life.

She is survived by her parents, four sisters: Rouvina (Mrs. Albert Wiekamp), Henrietta (Mrs.
Hilbert Jager), Alice (Mrs. Jacob Foreman, Jr.), and Catherine at home; and by two brothers,
Pvt. Edward Cleveringa, recently called to the colors, and Nicholas at home.

Funeral services are this Thursday afternoon at the home at one o'clock and at the First Ref.
church at 1:30 in charge of Rev. Tinklenberg
