RUN A STICK IN EYE
Caused the Death of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Chenoweth's Only Son
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Chenoweth of Watertown, S. D., were called upon Sunday to mourn the sudden
death of their only son, Frank, aged eight years. He was playing at school Friday and fell and ran a stick in his eye. He was at once taken to a physician and the injury carefully looked after. It was feared that he might lose the sight of the eye, but no other serious danger thought of. Inflammation set in, however, and the little fellow passed away Sunday night. The remains were brought to Hawarden by the sorrowing parents Tuesday afternoon and the funeral was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Chenoweth. The services were conducted by Rev. R. A. Quinn, pastor of the M. E. church. The sympathy of a large circle of friends goes out to the bereaved parents and grandparents in their great sorrow. Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Whitney and C. E. Chenoweth of Eagle Grove and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Tyler of Madison came to attend the funeral.
