OBITUARY Funeral services- for Arie De Bondt of Rock Valley were held Tuesday, May 31, at the home and at the Netherland Reformed church with Rev. C. Hegeman officiating. Burial was in the Sioux Center Community cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Vander Ploeg's Funeral Service from Sioux Center.
Mr. Arie De Bondt passed away Thursday afternoon at his home at Rock Valley. Mr. De Bondt had reached the age of 73 years, one month and 29 days. He was born in the Ede, Netherlands and came to America in 1923 when he settled in Sioux Center, where he lived until six years ago when he moved to Rock Valley where he resided until his death. He was united in manage to Jennie Vander Pol on March 14, 1923, while still in the, Netherlands. Besides his wife he is survived by the following children; Jennie, Mrs. Jella Fluit of Orange City; Bernard of Steen; Marie De Bondt of Sheldon; John of Ocheyeden and Henrietta, Mrs. Leonard Bonestroo of Sheldon. He is also survived by his grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters; Johanna, Mrs. De Haan, of the Netherlands; Eva, Mrs. Gerrit Dolieslager, of Sioux Center; Henrietta, Mrs. Corneluis De Waard, of the Netherlands; Tunis of Hudson, S. D. and William of Belflower, Calif. One brother, Corneluis died in the Netherlands.
