Mrs. George S. Chatterton Passed Away Saturday in Omaha
Mrs. George S. Chatterton, a former well know resident of Hawrden, died at her home in Omaha, NE, Saturday, Sept. 11th, after a very brief illness at the afe of 43 years, 1 mo and 29 days. The boday, accompanied by the bereaved husband and children was brought to Hawarden Tuesday for intermnet. Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, Rev. A. M. McIntosh, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment was made in Grace Hill cemetery.

Araminta Walter was born July 13, 1877, at Collingwood, Ontario, Can. She came to Hawarden with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Walter, in the fall of 1889, and spent her girlhood years in this city. In 1897 she was united in marriage to George S. Chatterton. They continued to reside here for a time and then moved to Sioux City. After living there several years they moved to Marshfield, Ore., where they resided four year*, returning to Sioux City in 1915. In 1918 they moved to Omaha where Mr. Chatterton engaged in business and where they continued to make their home until her death.

She is survived by. her husband and one son, Melville Chatterton of Los Angeles, Calif., and one daughter, Miss June Chatterton of Omaha. She also leaves three brothers, G. H. Walter, E. R. Walter and C. H. Walter, all of Sioux City, and two sisters, Mrs. F. E. Justman of Chicago and Mrs. Earl Bihlmeyer of Elk Point, S. D. She had many warm friends in Hawarden Who extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved husband and children and other relatives.
