Sioux county cemetery index lists Hamilton Chalmers died 10 Feb 1884, same stone as Elizabeth.
No death record was found in the newspapers. An ancestry.com report lists Hamilton Chalmers as born 16 Jan 1820 West Kilbride, Ayrshire, Scotland and died 10 Feb 1884 Iowa. He was the son of Hugh Chalmers 1775-1837 and Ann Hamilton 1767-1847. He married Elizabeth Lusk born 1821 Scotland died 1 Feb 1899 buried Ireton IA. They had ten children: Hugh 1843-1920, Ann 1849-1919, Robert 1857-1927, Margaret 1856-1929, Thomas 1857-1906, James H. 1859-1939, William 1862-1945, Silas H. 1864-1948, Mary 1866, Andrew 1868-1929.
