Mrs. Dave Vander Pol Dies in Grand Rapids
Mrs. Dave Vander Pol, 61 former Rock Valley resident, died Jan. 14 in Grand Rapids, Mi. Funeral services were held at Vanderpool Chapel in Grand Rapids and burial in Rest Lawn Memorial park. She married Dave Vander Pol in 1918 and spent her life in near Rock Valley, moving to Grand Rapids 11 years ago.
Survivors are her husband Dave Vander Pol, and three daughters, Anne of Saginaw Mich., Mrs. Clarence Jervis of Morristown, Pa., and Mrs. Midge Bartman of Grand Rapids. Six grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Nic Rowenhorst of Boyden and Bill Kwikkel of Boyden.
Attending the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Jervis from Morristown, Anne Vander Pol from Saginaw, Mich, Rev. Ralph Vander Pol from Ontario, Canada, Mrs. Gertrude Klien from Pella, Iowa, Nic Rowenhorst and Mr. and Mrs. Van Velzen from Boyden, and Lois Roorda from Kalamazoo, Mich. Mrs. Vander Pol had not been well for the past three years and died at Pine Rest after being admitted to the hospital two weeks ago.
