Olga H. Berg, 96, of Hawarden, died Sunday, July 31, 1994 at the Hass Hiilcrest Care Center in Hawarden. Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Loren Vogler officiating. Burial was held in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery
at Alcester, SD. Visitation began at noon with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.

Mrs. Berg was born April 26, 1898 in Sioux City, the daughter of John and Mary (Fauske) Ness. She was baptized on May 22, 1898 and confirmed May 26, 1912 in the Lutheran Church. She lived in Sioux City until her marriage to Clarence Berg June 1, 1932 in Sioux City. The couple fanned near Alcester, until 1942 when they moved to a farm north of Hawarden. Mr. Berg died October 31, 1974 She lived in Hawarden for several years following his death and moved to the Hass Hillcrest Care Center in 1983.

She was the last survivor of her generation in the Berg and Ness families. Survivors include a son John and his wife Margaret of Sioux city; a daughter, Margaret and her husband Don Witt of Hawarden, 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son C. Owen Berg, 3 sisters and 2 brothers
