Hold Last Rites Here Saturday For Mrs. Van Hulzen

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Van Hulzen were held Saturday,November 25, at 1:30 at the John De Ruyter home and at 2 o'clock at the Christian Reformed church. Dr. H. Kuiper officiated and Gerrit Hoekstra, Klaas Keizer, T. De Joode, George Middle, Sam Attema and Gerrit Bakker served as pallbearers. Burial was made in the Valley View cemetery She died very suddenly of a heart attack in the Ashton Memorial Hospital in Pipestone, Minn., on November 21. Mrs. Van Hulzen, nee Margaret Petronell De Ruyter, was born on November 29, 1881, in de"Haarlmmeer",Netherlands. She came to this country at the age of 17. She was married to Bernard Van Hulzen on February 9, 1917, at Valley Springs, S. D. Survivors include a son, Gerrit Van Hulzen of Bellflower, Calif., four daughters Mrs. Herman Van Engen (Hattie) of Doon, Mrs. Tony Rietkerk (Margaret) of Artesia, Calif., Mrs. Hienie Wallinga (Marie) of Hull, and Marjory of Los Angeles, Calif. She also leaves to mourn her passing three brothers, Neal and John De Ruyter, both of Rock Valley and Hendrik De Ruyter in the Netherlands.
