Former Resident Dies November 11 In Algona, Iowa

Mrs. Emma Jane Cauley of Hollywood, Calif, died at St. Ann hospital in Algona, Iowa, on Saturday, November 11, at the age of 73 years and 6 months. She had been visiting relatives in Iowa for the past six months and was at the home of her sister, Mrs. John McEnroe in Algona, when she became ill. Mrs. Cauley was born on a farm east of Rock Valley, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Solon. She married John Cauley of Larchwood in 1903.The family moved to California in 1941. Mrs. Cauley is survived by five daughters, Lucile and Virginia at home, Mrs.Lois Byrne of Sacramento, Calif., Mrs. Madelyn Armstrong of Concord, Calif., Mrs. Adelyn Houtari of Long Beach, a son, F. P. Cauley of Long Beach, three sisters and two brothers. John L., died in 1941 and her husband preceded her three years ago.

The remains were shipped to Hollywood, where funeral services were held in the St. Ambrose Catholic church on November.
