Hazel E. Shacklette, 83, of Sioux City, died Saturday at the Green Acres Care Center at South Sioux City following a short illness. Services were 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 22, 1987 at the Nelson- Berger Morningside Chapel. The Rev. Steven Kornbusch officiating. Burial was in Craig Cemetery at Craig.

Mrs. Shacklette, the former Hazel Elliott, was born September 13, 1904, at Salix. She attended school at Hawarden; She married John Shacklette March 3, 1955, in Council Bluffs. Following their marriage the couple made their home in Sibux City.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Dareth McLary of Sioux City; a brother, Donald Elliott of Le Mars; a sister, Vera Baack of Craig; a granddaughter, and three greatgrandchildren.
