Garrit Andriessen, 72, died Wednesday, December 16, I987-, in Chicago, IL. Services were held Saturday, December J9, 1987, in Chicago. He was born and raised in the Hudson and Hawarden areas. He served in World War II. He married Elaine Wheat on November 27, 1946 in Chicago. They made their home in Chicago. She died in 1975. In 1984, he moved to Des Plaines, IL.

Preceding him in death were his wife; parents, Pete and Gertrude; and brother, Frank. Survivors are his daughters Linnea (Darryl) Mayo, Des Plaines, IL, and Janice (Butch) Zumpf; Sisters Alyce (the late Robert) Wheat, Wheeling, IL; Trudy (John) Thurman, Glenview, IL; brother Sibley (Edna), Highland, IN; and a sister-in-law, Penny, Hawarden; and many nieces and nephews.
