Lois J. Hartman, 53, Sioux City, died Wednesday, September 30, 1987, in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 3, in Mayflower Congregational Church. Rev. A. T. Washington, interim pastor, officiated. Burial was in Logan Park Cemetery under direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mrs. Hartman, the former Lois J. Finch, was born January 26, 1934, in Hawarden. She married Richard Hartman May 27, 1956, in Hawarden. She worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone in Hawarden from 1953 until 1958. The couple then moved to Sioux City and for the last 12 years she had been a building aide for the Sioux City Community School System. Mrs. Hartman was a member of Mayflower Congregational Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Matthew and Mark; both of Sioux City; a daughter, Mrs. David (Lori) Fay of Sioux City; her mother, Mrs. Vivian Finch of Hawarden; two brothers, Ron of Hawarden and Terry of Sioux Falls, SD; a sister, Mrs. James (Carol) Meins of Columbus, NM, and four step grandchildren.
