The funeral of Harry Rose was held at the Presbyterian Church in this city last Saturday afternoon. It was largely attended by relatives and friends and by members of the various fraternal orders of which he was an honored member. Harry Rose was born in Chicago Oct. 27, 1870. He came to Hawarden with his parents when he was twelve years of age and has since made his home in this city.
On Nov. 18th 1897, he was united in marriage to Miss Molly Payne. Two children were born to them, both of whom are still living. He also has one daughter from a previous marriage living in Los Angeles. One brother, Chas. B. Rose, resided in Cleveland, OH, and one sister, Mrs. Geo. Niehaus, resides in this city. He was a painter by trade, an industrious and hard-working man, and was highly respected by all who knew him.
