Harry Juffer, 68, of Yankton, S.D., died Tuesday, June 14, 1983 in the Veterans Association Hospital in Omaha, Neb. Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Sacred Heart Catholic Churchy in Yankton, with burial in the parish cemetery with ,military honors.

He was born. Oct. 2, 1914, in Sioux Center, Iowa, to Dick and Hattie (Swartz) Juffer. He was married Sept. 16, 1941, to Letha Flynn. He worked for the Burlington Northern for 40 years and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Ernest Bowyer Post 791, V.F.W., Disabled American Veterans and Hartington Country Club.

Survivors are his wife, six children, Mrs. Francis (Nadine) Kleinschmit and Charles R. both of Omaha, Neb., Thomas H. Juffer and James H. Juffer, both of Yankton, Robert J. and Mrs. Jeff (Corrine) Sellberg, both of Huntinton Beach, Calif., three sisters, Mrs. Mary De Vos and Mrs. Elsie Koolbeck both of Sioux Center, Iowa, and Kathyrne Grooters, Port Richi, Florida, three brothers Elmer Juffer, Wilmer Juffer, and James Juffer, all of Sioux Center and 13 grandchildren.
