Brunskill - Died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Beadie, of Eden, Monday, March 14. Mrs. J. W. Brunskill, aged 42 years and 10 days.

Death under any and all circumstances sends a thrill of sorrow through the human heart, but when the word came Monday morning that Mrs. Brunskill had passed away, a mantle of sadness passed o'er the little city that is only felt when the grim messenger calls for one, none knew but to honor and respect.

Mariah Frost, was born in Dubuque, March 4, 1850, and was married to J. W. Brunskill, May 31, 1871. Eleven years ago they left there and for the past eight have been residents of this vicinity. She has been an invalid for nearly nine years, and the complications were such as to baffle the skill of the best physicians at home and abroad. About a week before her death she went to visit her sister at Eden and to seek medical assistance. The trip apparently made her worse and she was confined to her room from that time on, although her condition was not considered critical until a very short time before her death. She passed peacefully away about 9 o'clock Monday morning. She was a member of the Methodist church and a true Christian woman. A husband and five children, besides a number of other relatives, are left to mourn her loss.

The funeral services took place from the Methodist church yesterday afternoon. Rev. Mahond officiating, who paid an eloquent tribute to the memory of the departed to one of the largest assemblages ever seen in Hawarden.
