Funeral services for Della Larson, 90, a resident here since 1911 who died Saturday at the Burnight Nursing home, were held at 11 o’clock Tuesday morning at the Barnard Funeral Home and at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the Baptist Church in Alcester, Reverend Lee Giddings officiating. Burial was in the Big Springs Cemetery south of Alcester.

Casket bearers were Leslie Bergdale, Dwight Wilson, Elmer Anderson, Moris Hongalo, Bernard Wilson and Richard Johnson.

Mrs. Larson, the former Della Beck was born September 27, at Kiron, Iowa. She married John P. Larson at Odebolt, Iowa, on March 15, 1894, to which union nine children were born. In 1911 the family moved to the Alcester and Big Springs vicinity.

She had been a patient in the Burnight Nursing Home for the past couple of years. At the time of her death she was the oldest member of the Alcester Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1933 and two sons, Elmer in 1923 and Lloyd in 1942, and two sisters and a brother.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. C.H. (Eunice) Rossbach of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Mrs. Severt (Gladys) Kramme of Chicago; five sons, Clarence and Lloyd, both of Hawarden, and Glenn, Roland and Orrin, all of Alcester, a brother, Theron Beck of Big Springs and Brownsville, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
