Funeral service for Elmer Schmidt, 67 of Luverne, MN, were conducted Friday, Oct. 25, 1984. at the Engebretson Funeral Chapel at Luverne, MN. Officiating was Rev. Donald Andrix with interment in the St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery at Hull, IA.

Mr. Schmidt had been a resident of the Mary Jane Brown Home at Luverne, where he died. Mr. Schmidt was born May 31, 1917 at Hull, the son of Henry and Ann (Schuett) Schmidt. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul Lutheran Church of Hull, and worked as a farm worker in George and Luverne, MN.

Survivors include three brothers, Albert of Magnolia, MN, Arthur of Weeping Water, NE, and Vernon of Sioux Falls; a sister, Mathilda (Mrs. Louis) Hinsch of George; and two step-sisters, Alma (Mrs. Martin) Woelber and Martha (Mrs. Alfred) Reibling of Ashton, IA.
