Mrs. Hein Jager died Wed. morning at about 9 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. J. McPherson after an illness of about two and a half weeks. She was removed from the home to the McPherson home Saturday noon.
Jessie Talsma was born in the Netherlands on April 27, 1875. She came to America with her parents, who located in Sioux County, IA. She was married to Hein Jager on Dec. 15, 1893. To this union nine children were born. One child Geneva, died in 1926. Her husband preceded her in death six years ago.
The surviving children are Mrs. Herman Van Dyke, Kenneth MO. Chas., Dick and Harry Jager, Mrs. W. J. McPherson, Mrs. Orlin Liston all of Hawarden; Albert Jager of Hudson S.D. and Mrs. Ira De Raad of Ireton, IA. Previously to her husband's death she lived on farms near Maurice and Ireton, and she had lived here in Hawarden the past nine years.
Funeral services will be held from the Barnard Funeral Home, Friday morning at 10 o'clock, with Rev. H. Harding of the Associated Church in charge. Interment will be made in Grace Hill Cemetery.
