Margaret McManaman, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike McManaman, pioneer Plymouth county farmers, was born on the home farm December 3, 1891, and it was here that she spent most of her life. She received her grade education in the rural schools after which she entered St. Mary's school in Hawarden. Later she entered the teaching profession and was a successful teacher in the rural schools in Plymouth county and at Armour and Emery, S.D. The past number of years she has been at home assisting her sister with the work. She is survived by three brothers and two sisters, Mike, Pat and Jack and Miss Mary McManaman, at home and Mrs. Lawrence Gale of Akron. She is also survived by five nieces and five nephews.

Miss McManaman was a devout adherent of the Catholic church and was highly esteemed by her friends among whom she lived a life worthy of emulation.
