Miss Augusta Karstens, 85 of Rock Rapids died Thursday at her residence in Rock Rapids.

Services were held Saturday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hull, IA. The Rev. Lyle Blaede officiated. Burial in the church cemetery under the direction of the Jongewaard-Roste Funeral Home.

Miss Karstens was born February 17, 1898, in Sioux County. She was a longtime resident of Hull, working for many years in a general merchantile store. She retired in the mid 1960's and moved to Rosewood-Heights apartments in Rock Rapids in 1980.

Survivors include a niece and a nephew.
