Died: November 12, 1964 Sioux Center, IowaJohn Niessink, 75, lifetime resident of the Sioux Center area, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1964 at the Sioux Center Community Hospital after a week's illness.
Mr. Niessink was born Jan. 22, 1889 at Sioux Center, son of Lubbert and Johanna Niessink, and attended school in Welcome Township. He married Ella Franken here on Feb. 26, 1913. They farmed in the area until retiring to town in 1948. After retirement he worked as a general repairman for all his friends, relatives and neighbors.
He was a lifelong member of the First Reformed Church, Sioux Center.
Survivors include the widow, a daughter, Mrs. Gerrit Vander Vliet of Sioux Center, a son, Louie of Orange City, a brother, Peter of Sioux Center and four grandchildren.
Services: First Reformed Church in Sioux Center Nov. 16, 1964.
