Billy Joe "Bill", son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Baumgart Jr, was born June 27, 1962 at Columbus, NE. He attended school in Columbus, NE; Redfield, S.D.; Kearney, NE; and graduated from Sioux Center High School in 1980. He was presently employed at Colony House of Furniture in Lynden, WA. He was affiliated with the Sonlight Community Christian Reformed Church of Lynden, WA.

Survivors include his parents, Elmer "Bud" and Shirley; his brother, Greg; his two sisters, Shelley and Jessica, all of Sioux Center, IA; his grandparents, Elmer and Leona Baumgart; and his great-grandmother, Lena Kamm, of Columbus, NE.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, and his paternal great-grandfather, Nick Kamm.
