Henrietta Moss, 75, of rural Luverne, MN, died Sunday, November 12th, at her home near Luverne.

Services were Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., at the Christian Reformed Church in Luverne with the Rev. George Koopmans and the Rev. Bert Den Herder officiating.

Mrs. Moss was born November 20, 1924, on a farm near Carmel to Jacob & Minnie (Oostenink) De Boer. When she was three years old, her mother died. The family remained on the family farm and she received her education in country school. After graduation, she assisted area families with housework and child care. She married Albert Moss on February 20, 1946, at the Moss family farm near Carmel. They remained in the Carmel area before moving to a farm northwest of Luverne in 1951. Along with homemaking, she assisted her husband with farming.

She was a member of the Christian Reformed Church in Luverne. She participated in the Mary Martha Society and the Grow Group Bible Study. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her strong faith in the Lord. Her family was very important to her. She enjoyed having the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren for lunch and liked to bake cookies for them.

Survivors include her husband; six children, Betty & Larry Faber of Sioux Falls; Thelma & Gary Baker of Leota, MN; Linda & John Vollan of Volga, SD; Neal & Char Moss of Luverne and Brad & Dawn Moss of Luverne; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, John De Boer of Rock Valley; five sisters, Dena Blankspoor of Hull, Mina & Henry Bartels of Sioux Center; Jeanetta & John Wesselink of Rock Valley, Coba & Martin Raak of Orange City and Neva Huisman of Sioux Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, Tillie; daughter-in-law, Noreen Moss; three brothers, Jerry, Frank and Dick De Boer; sister, Gert Vander Vliet, a grandson and a great-grandson.

Memorials may be directed to The Gideons, Luke Society and Bibles for India.
