Funeral services were held Monday, January 21, at 1 p.m., from the home and at 1:30 p.m., from the Boyden Reformed Church for Mrs. Hugo Moret, nee Cornelia Vander Aarde, who died Wednesday, January 16, at her home in Boyden following a brief illness. She died at the age of 66 years.

The Rev. H. Steuneburg officiated at the services. Burial was in the Boyden cemetery under the direction of the Co-operative Funeral Services.

Mrs. Moret, a daughter of Anna Vander Aarde and Jennie Vander Wilt, was born north of Boyden on January 26, 1890. She was united in marriage to Hugo Moret February 12, 1913, and to this union six children were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Andrew Vander Aarde, and one sister, Mrs. Chris Groen.

Surviving are her husband and the children: Margaret, at home; Andrew, and Geneva; Mrs. George Haspels, both of Boyden; William of Sheldon; Harold of Artesia, CA; and Alvin of Poughkeepise, NY. She also leaves to mourn her death two brothers, Sebastian of Spencer, and Henry of Cherokee; and two sisters, Mrs. Herman Reinicke of Parkesburg and Mrs. Peter Van Zee of Boyden; also twelve grandchildren.

The past forty years she lived at Boyden. She was greatly devoted to her home and family and had a wide circle of friends. She was a member of the First Reformed Church.
