Omar Ricke, 57, rural Granville, died unexpectedly Monday (July 30,1973) at his home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic church, Granville,with Rev. Edward Hoffmann officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of the Fisch funeral home, Remsen. Rosaries will be recited at 5 and 7 p.m. with parish rosary at 8 p.m. and Knights of Columbus rosary at 9 p.m. All will be at Spalding hall, Granville.

Mr. Ricke was born December 2,1916, at Granville, the son of Mrs. Henry Ricke and the late Mr. Ricke. He had lived all his life in the Granville area. He was member of the KC's at Granville and the faternal order of Eagles in Le Mars. Mr. Ricke and Leola Konz were married May 1,1945 at Alton.

Survivors are his wife, Leola of rural Granville; four daughters, Mary Jane, South Sioux City, Nebraska, and Ruth, Bonnie and Shirley, all at home; two sons, Richard of Remsen and Patrick of Primghar; his mother, Mrs. Henry Ricke of Granville. Also three sisters, Mrs. Fred Plathe, Mrs. Jim Klein and Mrs. Cyril Schmit and two brothers, Clarence and Vernon and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Robert.
