Mrs. Leonard Majeres, whose home was 18 miles southwest of Remsen, passed away on December 30 at her home following a sickness which lasted a year. She was 38 years, 2 months and 27 days of
age.

Rosella Vaske was born October 3, 1916 in Remscn. She was married to Leonard Majeres on April 2, 1940 St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remscn. The family lived near Granville for a few years after which they moved to Elkhorn township about 5 years ago.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic church in Remsen on Monday, January 3 al 9:30 a.m. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery,under direction of the Fisch funeral home in Remsen.

Survivors include her husband, Leonard and five sons: Duane, Richard, Donnie, Ronnie and Robert all at home. Her mother, Mrs. John Vaske of Remsen; two brothers, Cletus and Al of Remscn; 4 sisters, Sister Fidclis. O. S. F. of Ionia, Iowa; Mrs. Clarence Majeres of Minnesota; Mrs. Steve Bortscheller of Le Mars and Mrs. Richard Nitzschke of Remscn.

Deceased, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America of Remsen and the Altar society of Lincoln Township Church.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Judy Majeres (22 Aug 1945-28 Feb 1946).
