Katherine Rens, 94 of Sioux Center died Thursday, April 4 1985 in the Heritage Nursing Home at Orange City.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sioux Center. The Rev. Dr. Thurman Rynbrandt officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs Rens, the former Katherine Doustra, was born Sept. 17, 1890 in Grand Rapids, MI. She married Tim L. Rens Feb. 17, 1916 in Newkirk. He died Sept. 26, 1958.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Gerrett T. Margaret Schutt of Sioux Center; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
