Died August 24, 2002 Sioux City, Iowa

Marlene Lynn (Bird) Reisma, 50 of Winnebago died Sat. Aug. 24, 2002 at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wed. at Winnebago Reformed Church with Victor Smith and Rev. Dalmon officiating. Burial will be in Winnebago Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Winnebago Tribal Wake and Burial program.

Mrs. Reisma was born June 17, 1952 in Winnebago. She graduated from Spencer High School in 1971.

She was married to Wally Baxter until his passing. She then married Dennis Reisma. She was employed with Winna Vegas.

She was a member of First Reformed Church of Sioux Center, Iowa

Survivors include her children, Dawn Bird of Council Bluffs, IA, Rick Baxter of Sioux City, Heather Roetman of Orange City, IA, Lance Reisma of Sioux Center, Lisa Jones of Indiana, and D.J. Reisma of Sioux Center; and nine grandchildren.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Francis W. Bird Sr. and Myrthys Smith; and a brother, Francis Bird Jr.

Pallbearers will be Rick Baxter, Lance Reisma, D.J. Reisma, Marvin Bird Jr. Jon Roetman, Tracy Jones and Ryan Livingston.
