Mrs. Theresa nee Van Den Akker Feenstra, 86, passed away at the Orange City hospital on Monday after having suffered a stroke. Mrs. Feenstra was born in the Netherlands and came to the United States when she was 22 years old.

She was married to Dick Feenstra Sr. They observed their 60th wedding anniversary five years ago. Mr. Feenstra died four years ago. They had spent their married life in Sioux County. A son, Allen, died four years ago.

She is survived by nine children, 55 grandchildren, 85 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Christian Reformed Church. She made her home in Ireton before going to live with her daughter in Orange City last year. She was the mother of Peter Feenstra of Ireton and Dick Feenstra Jr. of McNally.

Funeral services will be held today at 1:00 at the Satterlee Funeral Home and 1:30 at the Christian Reformed Church. Rev. Hulst will officiate. Burial will be in the Ireton Cemetery
