Helen Ferguson
Helen F. Ferguson, 91, of Hawarden died Sunday, October 22, at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Hawarden. Graveside services were 11:15 a.m. Monday at Laurens Cemetery, Laurens, with the Rev. Tim Walker officiating.

Mrs. Ferguson was born March 9, 1915, in Osceola, Missouri, the daughter of Jess and Artie Mae (Reed) Gregory. She was married to Fred Kemner of Hawarden. After his death, she married R.D. Ferguson on May 23, 1954. They moved from Arnolds Park to Hawarden in July 1962. The couple owned and operated For-Most Inc. in Hawarden from 1968 until retiring in 1979 . They enjoyed winters in Texas and Arizona until he died in 1983. She was a member of United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Lois McKinney of Eureka, California; a stepson, Gary Ferguson of Florida; four grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Lois and Don Hopp of Hawarden. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Lena Smith, Leona Branstitter and Gussie McMillan
