Jennie W. Fiebig, 83, of Urbandale died from cancer on Tuesday, December 6, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services were at Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines on Saturday, with burial at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.

Jennie was born September 11, 1911 in Middleburg. While growing up, she lived in Middleburg, Sioux Center and Sheldon, prior to her moving to the Des Moines area. She married Joseph Albert Fiebig. He died on September 15, 1977. She was the supervisor in the food service department at Johnston Community Schools in Johnston, a suburb of Des Moines.

Survivors are one son, Joel Fiebig, of Okoboji; one grandson, Nick Fiebig of Okoboji; one sister, Cora Van Wyk, of Bakersfield, California; and several nieces and nephews
