Reba Sinkey, 90, of Hawarden, formerly of Ireton, died Monday, November 29, at the Hillcrest Care Center in Hawarden.

Services were at 2 P.M. Thursday at Christian Reformed Church in Ireton with the Rev. Ronald Sprik officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Sinkey was born August 21, 1909, near Lebanon, the daughter of Gerrit and Wilhemina Vande Kieft. She married Jake Sinkey on October 5, 1930 in Ireton. The couple lived in Craig for more than a year before they moved to Ireton. She had been a resident of Hillcrest Care Center for eight years. He died December 2, 1998.

She was a member of Christian Reformed Church and enjoyed playing the piano and organ.

Survivors include a son, Arthur of Sioux Falls; two daughters and their husbands, Wanda and Melvin Cooke of Ada, Michigan, and Nelma and James De Bauche of Sioux City; a brother and his wife, Wilbert and Henrietta Vande Kieft of Sioux Center; a sister, Gertrude Nyhof of Sioux Center; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Lorna Sinkey; two brothers, John and William Vande Kieft; and a sister, Minnie Feenstra.
