Eva Davis, 88, of High Schoals, Georgia, formerly of Hull, died Monday, March 22, at the Family Life Enrichment Center in High Schoals.

Funeral service was Saturday at 10 a.m. at American Reformed Church in Hull with the Rev. Steven Bierly officiating. Interment was at Hope Cemetery in Hull.

Mrs. Davis was born July 1, 1915, at Hull, the daughter of Fred and Jean Marie (Vanden Burg) Koele. She was raised at Hull and graduated from high school. In the early 1940s, she left Hull and was a telephone operator for Bell South, retiring in 1978. She then returned to Hull and in January of 2000, moved to the Athens, Georgia, area, She had been married to Walter Davis. She was a member of American Reformed Church.

Survivors include two sons, Walter C. Davis and his wife Becky Marlow of Douglasville, Georgia, and James H. Davis Of Bogart, Georgia; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren, She was preceded in death by a son, Marvin Davis; and several brothers and sisters.
