A Sudden Death.

Tuesday evening [March 14] occurred the sudden and extremely sad death of Miss Nellie Barry at her home in this city. She was in apparent good health and had just sat down to read a newspaper when while yet unfolding it, she fell on the floor and immediately expired. Medical assistance was called for but it was of no avail. She was a lovely young woman and her friendship was highly prized by all. Her sudden demise has cast a gloom over the entire community.

Her parents were at their old home in Streator, Illinois, which makes the grief doubly painful to them. The remains were taken to that place Thursday afternoon to be interred in the family lot in the cemetery at that place. Joe Barry, her brother, accompanied by John Higgins, went in charge of the body and to attend the funeral. The Bee extends to the family and near friends its heartfelt sympathy in this mournful bereavement.
