Henry Zoet, 86, of Hull died Friday, Jan. 31, at the Pleasant Acres Care Center of Hull, IA.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday Feb. 3, at First Reformed Church at Hull with the Rev. Verlyn Boone and Rev Harold Lenters officiating. Burial will be at Hope Cemetery at Hull.

Zoet was born Feb. 12, 1910, at Elburg, The Netherlands, to John and Hendrika (Margre). He came to America when he was 11 weeks old. He married Gertrude Johanna Te Slaa Feb. 23, 1939 at Hull. They farmed near Hull and moved into town in 1967. He entered Pleasant Acres in March of 1995.

He was a member of First Reformed Church, where he was involved in Men's Brotherhood.

Survivors include his wife; a son and his wife, John J. and Hendrene of Hull; two daughters and their husbands, Hester and Vernon De Jong and Henrietta and Robert Dykstra, all of Hull; five sisters, Mrs. Paul (Coba) Vander Ploeg of Artesia CA. Christina Boogerd and Harriet Moss, both of Hull, Bertha Attema of Rock Valley and Mrs. Simon (Gertrude) Rodenburgh of Sioux Center; a brother, Jake of Hull; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Harlan; a sister, Gertie; and three brothers, Johan, Andrew and Joe.
