In the Embrace of Death

Mrs. Adriantje Ver Mulen died at the home of her daughter Mrs. A. J. Kemper in this place August 1, of mental exhaustion. Deceased was born in Nernerlands [i.e., Netherlands, presumably], October 19, 1832; and came to America in 1882 [or 1892?; the numbers are blurry]. Her husband died March 10, 1895. On February 13 her last illness began, after which she suffered much and never regained her strength and health. Five sons and one daughter mourn her loss. Funeral services took place from the family residence Monday morning, Rev. Huizenga officiating.
