Sioux County Capital, January 31, 1985

Peter Goslinga, 75, of Orange City, died Tuesday evening at the Sheldon Nursing Home.

Services were held Friday, Jan. 25, at the Calvary Christian Reformed Church. Rev. John T. Ebbers officiated. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery under direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home, Orange City.

Mr. Goslinga was born March 11, 1909, the son of Sjoerd & Clara (Dykstra) Goslinga at Alton. He was married to Ida Roghair, June 16, 1936, at Sioux City. She preceded him in death on April 13, 1983. He farmed near Orange City until 35 years ago when he moved into Orange City where he became Sioux County Weed Commissioner until retirement.

He was a member of the Calvary Christian Reformed Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gil (Shirley) De Goei and Mrs. Dixon (Esther) Granstra, both of Sheldon; five grandchildren, one great grandchild, two brothers, John of Hospers and Ted of Orange City; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Eason of Orange City, and Mrs. Sue Bussanmas of Marcus.
