Mrs. John (Therese M.) Zimmerman, 95, of Hawarden died Thursday, June 30, 1963, in a care center in Hawarden. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden. The Rev. Paul Sieveking officiated Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ireton, under direction of Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden. Pallbearers were James Zimmerman, Richard Zimmerman, Dennis Zimmerman, Bill Zimmerman, Lyle Richardson, and Rich Hamilton.

Mrs. Zimmerman, the former Therese M. Johnson, was born March 15,1888, in Germany. She came to the United States and to Le Mars with her parents as a child. She married John Zimmerman
December 1,1910, in Plymouth County, near Le Mars. They lived in the Ireton area. He died March 30,1947. She moved to Hawarden in 1950. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Curtis (Mabel) Richardson of Ireton; one son, Richard of Vermillion, SD; two sisters, Margaret Johnson of Fairmont,MN; and Marie Miller of Kanaka, MN;
two brothers, Carl of Alcester, and Ted of Le Mars; 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, William, in 1978.
