Marvin E. Green, 68, of rural Boyden died June 24 at the Orange City Municipal Hospital. Funeral services are slated to be held (today) Saturday, June 27, at 1:30 P.M. in the First Reformed Church of Boyden. Rev. Sylvester Moths will officiate. Burial will be in the Boyden Cemetery, under the direction of Andringa Funeral Home of Sheldon.

Marvin E. Green was born August 12, 1912 in Cherokee. He later moved to the Boyden area, attending the Boyden school system. On August 27, 1932 he was married to Lena Schreuder in Sisseton, South Dakota. They farmed in the Boyden area.

Survivors include his wife, Lena of rural Boyden; one son, Jerry of Boyden; one daughter, Sue Arnold of Indianapolis, Indiana; two grandchildren; and three brothers, Vernon of Stromsburg, Nebraska, and Richard and R.L. both of Boyden.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.
