Albert Schreuder April 5, 1937—June 18, 1994

Albert "Bud" Schreuder, 57, of Rock Valley and formerly of Le Mars, died Saturday, June 18, at Valley Manor in Rock Valley. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, at Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley with the Rev. Harlan De Jong officiating. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, with the family present from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Porter Funeral Home.

Schreuder was born April 5, 1937, in Rock Valley, the son of Cornelius and Susanna (Baron) Schreuder. He attended Rock Valley Christian Grade School and High School. He served in the U. S. Army from 1962 to 1965 during the Berlin Crisis. He married Allena Roemen June 6. 1970, in Canton, South Dakota. He worked for Wells Blue Bunny Company in Rock Valley a few years before becoming a member of the Pipe Fitters Union, working throughout the Midwest. Due to poor health, he moved to Valley Manor in 1991.

Survivors include his wife, of Le Mars; a son and his wife, Scott and Deb Schreuder of Brookings. South Dakota; a brother. Clarence Schreuder of Spencer; two sisters. Mrs. William (Alma) Landegent of Rock Valley and Mrs. Elmer (Helen)Van Kekerix of Sheldon; and a grandson.
