Rock Valley rites held Wednesday for Mrs. G. De Boer, 69

ROCK VALLEY—Mrs. Gertie De Boer. 69. vicinity resident since 1911, died Sunday at the Sioux Center hospital. Services were held Wednesday at the First Christian Reformed church in Rock Valley. Rev. Christian Huissen officiated and burial was made in the Valley View cemetery.

Mrs. De Boer was born April 14. 1890, in Friesland Netherlands. She came with her parents to the United States and to the Carmel, la., community at the age of 19. She was married to Nick De Boer on October 30,1911, at Rock Valley. He died April 10, 1945.

Survivors include three sons, William and Nick, both of Rock Valley, and Jacob of Hull; a daughter, Mrs. Peter Kooima of Rock Valley; and 20 grandchildren.
